Top Bahraini court rejected an appeal challenging a five year jail term and a BD3,000 fine awarded to a Bahraini woman for peddling banned drugs in the Kingdom. The Cassation Court, Bahrain’s highest court, issued the verdict in the appeal filed by a 48-year-old woman. Court files say the woman is guilty of delivering drugs known as shabu to a Pakistan-based man. Cops arrested the woman, who claimed to be an entrepreneur, with 100 grams of shabu in her possession. Investigation revealed that the drug was for distribution all around the Kingdom.
