A bus caught fire on the Lagos ibadan express way around 10:20 am this morning killing 14 Passengers and 3 children were burnt to death.
A Toyota RAV4 with registration number LND 13GS, a silver Toyota Camry marked GGE369GJ and a Mazda bus with unidentified number were involved in this accident this morning.
The bus wrongly overtake a vehicle and losses control and somersaulted severally before bursting into flames, the spoke person of traffic compliance and enforcement corps (TRACE) babatunde Akinbiyi confirmed the accident on Friday 7th of May 2021.
WHAT AKINBIYI SAID
"It was a ghastly accident which 17 passenger were in the bus when the crash happened with 14 burnt to death beyond recognition among which are 3 kids and 3 seriously injured. He said TRACE operatives and other security agencies were able to rushed 2 victim to Lagos State Accident and Emergency Centre and 1 other victim to the Gbagada general hospital in Gbagada lagos.
"He said that TRACE meanwhile sympathize with the family of the dead victims and also warning drivers to desist from wrongful overtaking and speeding, also drinking before driving should be stopped.
