Could you describe Madeleine Dumas, your character?
Aude Legastelois-Bidé:
Madeleine is a detective sergeant from Paris. She is an independent and solitary woman, but also a fairly formal person. She will rub shoulders with the character of Inspector Jack Mooney ( played by Ardal O'Hanlon, editor's note ), who, on the contrary, is rather mischievous and messy, and will try to challenge her. She is very involved in her work and with people. We can say that it is a daredevil!
The public discovered your character at the end of season 8. After the departure of Sergeant Florence Cassell (Joséphine Jobert), you are now the headliner of this season. How did the handover take place?
Joséphine had been in the series for four years. She wanted to go to other horizons. You should know that the shoots take place over six months, in Guadeloupe, far from our families. It is therefore a fairly intense investment. But I like the challenges! And the show is shot in English, which took me out of my comfort zone. I had never toured for six months until then, I wanted to give it a try.
You practice Thai boxing. Are you going to put your talents to good use this season?
There will indeed be a little surprise. And even if it was brief, it will not go unnoticed!
