Twitter CEO, Parag Agrawal has recently appointed tech entrepreneur, Elon Musk as a part of board of directors of the social networking platform.
“Through conversations with Elon in recent weeks, it became clear to us that he would bring great value to our Board,” he said while making this announcement.
This comes after news following Musk acquiring about 9.2% stake in the company making him the largest shareholder of Twitter.
According to sources, the shares bought by the American billionaire amount to a minute part of his net worth totalling about $2.9B out of his $300B net worth.
Musk has acquired large stakes in several other big companies and establishments including Tesla where he has about 20.7% of shares, 43.61% of Space X shares amongst a host of others.
The 50 year old billionaire who is currently the richest man in the world has about 80 million followers on the popular messaging and social networking app.
