MRS. CESNABMIHILO DOROTHY NUHU-AKEN’OVA is the only Female Presidential Aspirant in the in-coming 2023 Presidential Election and some Parts of Northern Nigeria are already agog for her participation in the election.
Dorothy Nuhu Aken’Ova is a feminist and the Founder/Executive Director of the International Centre for Sexual Reproductive Health Rights (INCRESE), a non-governmental organization with grassroots tentacles in the Sharia North of Nigeria in West Africa.
Her NGO is also a globally recognized advocacy group around Europe and America.
Dorothy brings professionalism to feminist activism seasoned with maturity, wisdom, and broad based knowledge in health, civic population and socio-cultural development as defined by the ICPD Cairo Programme of Action, Beijing Platform for Action, the sustainable development Goals (SDGs) and many more.
With over 20 Years of Professional experience in the field of Health, Human Rights, Sustainable Livelihood and Development, she has pioneered the design and implementation of intervention projects at community level and advocated for emerging issues in sexual reproductive health and rights (SRHR) globally.
With her foray into the political terrain in Nigeria, it appears there is finally hope for legion of young people and the larger women community in Sub-Sahara Africa.
She told Asabe Afrika TV more about her early life experience in Northern Nigeria up to her career as a teacher, women leader and a good governance advocacy guru during a recent encounter in Lagos.
