Rainfall reached about 25 liters per square meter.
The downpour, which began in the morning and lasted two hours, caused flooding in several areas of the city.
The streets turned into rivers, people were looking for safe places.
The areas most affected by flooding were Dansoman and Odorkor.
The Kanesh market was also heavily affected by the floods.
The incident caused numerous traffic jams.
Many cars and motorcycles got stuck in the water.
Water also seeped into the first floors and basements of houses.
Accra is the capital and largest city of Ghana.
The population of the agglomeration is about 4 million people.
