Although freedom of speech is one of the pillars of a democracy, for example a public Koran burning will hurt a large group of people and is therefore completely in line with a public racist or sexist statement. That such actions are covered by freedom of expression is completely misunderstood as these are at the same time quite undermining democracy.
In addition to the openly hurtful intentions in relation to other social groups, I am also thinking about the geopolitical consequences (for example, the great difficulties with Sweden's admission to NATO) and the enormous costs, both financial and human (for example, security measures in connection with demonstrations, or storming embassies ), which follows in the wake of these misdeeds in the holy name of freedom of speech.
It must not be possible for individuals to control the foreign policy of a democracy and short-circuit the democratic process through public actions.
Those persons who abuse the intention of freedom of speech to provoke people of other faiths or religions through public destruction or desecration of religious scriptures or symbols are subversive of democracy and should be able to be punished accordingly.
It is, of course, the intention that, on the basis of this law, it should not be possible to grant permits for such actions in connection with a legal demonstration.
