Two members of Sweden's royal family, Crown Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel, have tested positive for Covid-19, the Royal Court confirmed on Thursday.
The couple went into quarantine on Wednesday after Victoria developed cold symptoms, and on Thursday they both tested positive, said the Royal Court.
According to the statement, she and her husband are “experiencing mild symptoms but feel well under the circumstances”.
They are quarantining with their children, Princess Estelle and Prince Oscar, and the royal family’s physician is carrying out contact tracing.
Princess Victoria and Prince Daniel were set to join her parents, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia, at a memorial service marking the anniversary of the first COVID-19 death in Sweden on Thursday. Victoria's brother Prince Carl-Philip and sister-in-law Princess Sofia, who are expecting their third child, will attend the event in their place.
