Strong and encouraging words from Danish State Secretary for Trade, Lina Gandløse Hansen as Nigeria and Denmark formalised a new era of digital cooperation through a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU).
Working with the Denmark in Nigeria, the Federal Ministry of Communications, Innovation & Digital Economy is committed to deepen collaboration across digital infrastructure, AI, connectivity, and innovation — anchored in mutual respect and shared ambition.
We will work together to scale broadband infrastructure, pilot smart digital governance solutions, and facilitate pathways for Nigerian tech talent to contribute to Danish companies both remotely and in person. This MoU is again proof that Nigeria is open for partnerships and determined to localise global best practices.
Even outside the framework of this MoU partnership, Denmark has pledged €12 million in support through the EU for our 3MTT Nigeria programme, a clear indication that Denmark is committed to investing in Nigeria’s Digital Economy.
