Prayer

Heavenly Father, you are sovereign, and you are my hope. You have always been my confidence, and you are my confidence today (Psalm 71:5). In my suffering, you comfort me (2 Corinthians 1:5). Thank you for being the one who I can always count on. Today, please have mercy on me. Allow your grace to rain down on me because I am sinful. Please forgive me, Lord. Forgive me for taking my life for granted and for my ungratefulness for all you've given me. Forgive me for any entitlement I display in my heart or mind. Today I pray for missionaries all over the world. Please provide for all of their needs—spiritual, physical, and emotional—and strengthen them. Give them the words they need to bring others to you and give them a heart of service so that others may see your love through their actions. Protect them from the enemies' schemes and from other people who seek to harm them. Amen.
