From my little position down here, I believe Western sanctions equates to development.
Check out the sanctioned countries:
1. Russia - advance technology
2. China - advance technology and finance
3. Iran - advance technology
4. North Korea - advance technology and military
5. Cuba - advance medicine
6. Ghadaffi's Libya: advance agriculture and infrastructure ( before it was destroyed?
Even South Africa had nuclear weapon and program under sanctions before apartheid was dismantled.
I believe Nigeria will do better if we mind our business and let the West sanction us.
Most countries develop under sanctions from the West.
Malaysia, Singapore, and those Asean countries developed in hibernation.
Watch the Sahel states (Mali, Niger, and B/Faso) in years to come.
