A house belonging to Sunday Adeyemo, youth leader better known as Sunday Igboho, in Ibadan, Oyo state capital, is on fire. One of Igboho’s aide, who spoke with TheCable about the incident, said the house got burnt in the early hours of Tuesday, the 26th of january 2021.
Igboho has been in the news since he issued a seven-day ultimatum to herders in Ibarapa local government area of Oyo state.
He had blamed the herders for fueling insecurity in the state.
TheCable cannot immediately confirm the cause of the fire.
“Igboho has two houses in Soka. The old and the new one where he lives now. The old one got burnt overnight. We suspect foul play. It could be the work of people who don’t like what we are doing to liberate Yoruba from the oppression,” he said.
