Former Governor of the Central bank of Nigeria (CBN), Professor Charles Soludo, has been affirmed as the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) in the upcoming Anambra governorship election.
Afrosky News reports that the apex court made this known in a ruling on Thursday, which was presided by a five-man panel of justices of the court.
The Supreme Court also dismissed the appeal filed by one Jude Okeke on the ground of being an abuse of the court process.
Delivering the lead judgement, Justice Mary Peter Odili affirmed that Soludo will represent APGA in the November 6 governorship election and Victor Oye remains the National Chairman of the party.
Justice Odili also upheld the judgment of the Court of Appeal, Kano Division, which had earlier dismissed Okeke’s suit.
She, however, awarded a sum of N1 million to be paid by Okeke to APGA and Oye.
