Passengers tried in vain to revive the man. Now police are trying to figure out how he ended up lifeless in a train.
An early Saturday morning, a man was found lifeless in an S-train on its way from Copenhagen to Hillerød.
This is stated by David Borchersen, head of security at the North Zealand Police, to TV 2.
S-train was temporarily taken out of service
It was passengers who found the man lifeless and in hospital clothes and immediately raised the alarm at 06.26.
Patrols and ambulances met the train at Bernstorffsvej Station. Shortly afterwards, the man was pronounced dead.
The S-train was subsequently taken out of service and the passengers chased out of the train while the police interviews some of the other passengers while investigating the case.
- But there is nothing that screams to heaven in relation to a crime, says David Borchersen.
According to police, it is a 41-year-old man. The man's relatives have been notified.
Lots of loose ends
Right now, police are trying to figure out what the man was doing on Friday. Including whether - and if so how - he was in contact with the hospital system in the capital, when he was on the S-train, and whether he was in company with others.
- There are a lot of loose ends, we must have answers to now, says David Borchersen about the further investigation.
The S-train has finally been put back into operation
