Lapping waves have been eroding Venice’s historic buildings for years. They are created by motor boats, ferries and water buses. Swedish company Candela’s new electric boat flies over the water on hydrofoils. It hopes the design could soon replace more traditional vessels.
“This is an ancient city. We all love Venice and if we can help to save it, we should,” said Candela’s Maria Rohman.
